The Compass Group team is typically on the road, working with our companies or looking into new acquisition opportunities. When not traveling, they can be found in our Westport, Connecticut and Irvine, California offices.

I. Joseph Massoud, Managing Partner

Mr. Massoud founded The Compass Group International LLC in 1998. Prior to that, Mr. Massoud was an officer with Petroleum Heat and Power, Inc. Previously, Mr. Massoud was with Colony Capital, Inc. and McKinsey & Co. Mr. Massoud is a summa cum laude graduate of Claremont McKenna College and an honors graduate of the Harvard Business School MBA program. Mr. Massoud is currently on the boards of directors of a number of companies, including Compass Group Diversified Holdings LLC (NASDAQ: CODI), each of its subsidiaries and Teekay LNG Partners (NYSE: TGP). Mr. Massoud is the Chief Executive Officer of Compass Group Diversified Holdings LLC, a subsidiary of Compass Diversified Holdings (NASDAQ:CODI). Mr. Massoud is also an active Big Brother and a board member of Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Southwestern Connecticut.

Alan B. Offenberg, Partner

Mr. Offenberg joined The Compass Group International LLC in 1998 as a Principal. Prior to that, Mr. Offenberg worked in mergers and acquisitions for Trigen Energy Corporation. Previously, Mr. Offenberg was with Creditanstalt Bankverein and with GE Capital. Mr. Offenberg received his B.S. in Management from Tulane University and his MBA from Northeastern University, where he graduated Beta Gamma Sigma. Mr. Offenberg is currently a director of a number of companies, including American Furniture Manufacturing and Liberty Safe and Security Products.

Elias J. Sabo, Partner

Mr. Sabo joined The Compass Group in 1998 as a Principal. Prior to that, Mr. Sabo was an investment banker at CIBC Oppenheimer. Previously, Mr. Sabo was with was with Boundary Partners, LLC, a hedge fund management company and Colony Capital, Inc. Mr. Sabo graduated from Rennselaer Polytechnic Institute with a B.S. in management. Mr. Sabo is currently a director of a number of companies, including CBS Personnel Holdings, Inc.; Advanced Circuits, Inc.; Anodyne Medical Device, Inc.; Halo Branded Solutions, Inc.; KBell Holdings, Inc.; Fox Racing Shox; and Comsys IT Partners (NASDAQ: CITP).

David P. Swanson, Partner

Mr. Swanson joined The Compass Group International LLC in 2001 as a Vice President. Prior to that, Mr. Swanson was with Goldman Sachs in the Financial Institutions and Distressed Debt practices. Mr. Swanson is a graduate of the Harvard Business School MBA program and holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Chicago, where he was elected Phi Beta Kappa. Mr. Swanson is currently a director of a number of companies, including American Furniture Manufacturing and Liberty Safe and Security Products.

James J. Bottiglieri, Executive Vice President

Mr. Bottiglieri joined The Compass Group International LLC in 2005 as Executive Vice President. Prior to that, Mr. Bottiglieri was the senior vice president/controller of WebMD Corporation. Previously, Mr. Bottiglieri was with Star Gas Partners, LP and KPMG LLP. Mr. Bottiglieri is the Chief Financial Officer of and seconded exclusively to Compass Group Diversified Holdings, LLC, a subsidiary of Compass Diversified Holdings. Mr. Bottiglieri is a graduate of Pace University. Mr. Bottiglieri is currently a director of a number of companies, including Compass Group Diversified Holdings, LLC and each of its subsidiaries.

Joseph P. Milana, Executive Vice President

Mr. Milana joined The Compass Group International LLC as Controller in 1998. Prior to that, Mr. Milana established his own consulting practice providing accounting and tax services to small businesses and high-net worth individuals. From 1984 through 1995, Mr. Milana was with KPMG LLP. Mr. Milana received both a B.B.A. in Accounting and an M.S. in Taxation from Pace University in New York. Mr. Milana is currently a director of Families Network of Western Connecticut.

Patrick A. Maciariello, Principal

Mr. Maciariello joined the Compass Group International in 2005 as a Vice President. Prior to that, Mr. Maciariello worked as a management consultant at Bain & Company in their London and Los Angeles offices. Previously, Mr. Maciariello was an investment banker with Deutsche Banc Alex Brown. Mr. Maciariello received a B.B.A., cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from Columbia University, where he graduated Beta Gamma Sigma. Mr. Maciariello is currently a director of Fox Racing Shox, Halo Branded Solutions, Inc. and KBell Holdings, Inc. and on the board of Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Orange County.

Rudolph W.J. Krediet, Vice President

Mr. Krediet rejoined The Compass Group in 2006 as a Vice President. Prior to that, Mr. Krediet was with CPM Roskamp Champion. Previously Mr. Krediet was a Business Analyst with The Compass Group. Mr. Krediet received his MBA from the Darden Graduate School of Business (University of Virginia) and his undergraduate degree from the University of Edinburgh.

Carrie W. Ryan, General Counsel

Ms. Ryan joined The Compass Group in 2006 as Counsel and Vice President, Investor Relations. Prior to that, Ms. Ryan was in the private practice of law, focusing on mergers, acquisitions, dispositions and strategic corporate transactions for both public and private companies. Previously, Ms. Ryan was with Squire, Sanders & Dempsey L.L.P. and Dinsmore & Shohl LLP. Ms. Ryan received her J.D. from Loyola University of Chicago School of Law and her B.A. from the University of Kentucky.

Kenneth J. Terry, Vice President

Mr. Terry joined The Compass Group in 2006 as a Vice President. Prior to that, Mr. Terry served as the acting Corporate Controller of Star Gas Partners, L.P. Previously, Mr. Terry was the Chief Financial Officer of RHI Entertainment, Inc. and Senior Vice President and Controller of Vestron, Inc. Mr. Terry is also an alumnus of KPMG. Mr. Terry received a B.B.A. cum laude, from Western Connecticut State University.

James D. Ferrara, Vice President

Mr. Ferrara joined The Compass Group in 2006 as a Vice President. Prior to that, Mr. Ferarra was Director of Taxes for Star Gas Partners, LP. Previously, Mr. Ferrara was with Dorr-Oliver Inc. Mr. Ferrara received a B.S. in Accounting from Quinnipiac College and a M.S. in Taxation from the University of New Haven.

Demetrios P. Dounis, Vice President

Mr. Dounis joined The Compass Group International LLC in 2007 as a Vice President. Prior to that, Mr. Dounis was an Investment Banker with UBS Investment Bank. Previously, Mr. Dounis was with Deloitte and Touche. Mr. Dounis received his MBA from the University of Chicago GSB and received a B.S. in Accounting from Rutgers University, cum laude. Mr. Dounis is also a CPA and a CFA Charterholder.

Tim Chiodo, Vice President

Mr. Chiodo rejoined the Compass Group in 2008, where he was previously employed as an Associate. Prior to that, Mr. Chiodo worked as a mergers and acquisitions investment banker at Lazard Fréres & Co. LLC, focusing on transactions in the consumer products industry. Mr. Chiodo received an MBA from Columbia University and a B.S. degree in Mathematics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Mark B. Langer, Vice President

Mr. Langer joined The Compass Group in 2006. Prior to that, Mr. Langer worked for Green Manning & Bunch, a middle market investment bank specializing in mergers and acquisitions, private placements of equity and debt, and strategic financial advisory services. Mr. Langer has transaction experience across a broad range of industries including healthcare, business services, and consumer products / retail. Previously, Mr. Langer was employed by a regional accounting and business consulting firm in Washington, D.C. Mr. Langer received an MBA from Columbia University and a BSBA in Management with a concentration in Finance from Bucknell University.

Gabe LePera, Vice President, Internal Audit

Mr. LePera joined The Compass Group in 2008 as Director of Internal Audit. Prior to that, Mr. LePera was Manager for Internal Audit Services and Corporate Governance at J.H. Cohn LLP, and a Supervisor in their External Audit department. Previously, Mr. LePera was with Youth Consultation Services as a Senior Accountant and was promoted to Controller then to CFO. Mr. LePera began his career in Public Accounting with Ehrenkrantz and Company, a NJ based Public Accounting firm. Mr. LePera graduated with a B.A. from the University of Hartford, cum laude and is a NJ CPA.

Ryan Faulkingham, Director of Financial Reporting

Mr. Faulkingham joined The Compass Group in 2008 as Director of Financial Reporting. Prior to that, Mr. Faulkingham was a Vice President at Merrill Lynch and a Finance Manager with WebMD Corporation. Mr. Faulkingham began his career with Arthur Andersen LLP. Mr. Faulkingham holds a B.S. in Accounting from Lehigh University, cum laude. Mr. Faulkingham is also a CPA.

David M. Abate, Assistant Controller

Mr. Abate joined The Compass Group in 2006 as Assistant Controller. Prior to that, Mr. Abate was a consultant at various companies overseeing accounting related software implementations. Previously, Mr. Abate was a Finance Manager at Flywheel Media (a subsidiary of Thomson Corporation). Mr. Abate started his professional career at Arthur Andersen & Co., Inc. Mr. Abate received a B.S. in Accounting from Lehigh University.

Jennifer L. Wyman, Director of Marketing

Ms. Wyman joined The Compass Group in 2007 as Director of Marketing. Prior to that, Ms. Wyman was the Principal of Collage Graphic Design, LLC. Previously, Ms. Wyman was a Project Architect for Alan Wanzenberg Architect PC. Ms. Wyman received a B.A. in English from Dartmouth College and a Master of Architecture from the University of Colorado.

Nadezhda Sahin, Director, Internal Audit

Ms. Sahin joined The Compass Group in 2009 as Director of Internal Audit. Prior to joining The Compass Group, Ms. Sahin worked as a Senior Auditor at Weiser LLP where she provided professional accounting, auditing and financial services to a variety of clients. Ms Sahin was also a Senior Internal Auditor at CACI International Inc., performing Sarbanes-Oxley operational and financial audits. In addition, Ms. Sahin was with Cherry, Bekaert & Holland as an In Charge Auditor in their assurance group. Ms. Sahin began her career in public accounting with Hozik & Company PLC. Ms Sahin received a B.S. in Accounting from George Mason University and is also a CPA.

Suzanne E. Couch, Compliance Specialist,
Internal Audit

Ms. Couch joined The Compass Group in 2009 as a Compliance Specialist.Ê Prior to that, Ms. Couch worked as a Tax Accountant for Cooney, Faulkner and Stevens, LLC, a Cincinnati based Public Accounting firm.Ê Previously, Ms. Couch worked as an Internal Audit Senior for Fifth Third Bank.Ê Ms. Couch began her career in Public Accounting with Arthur Andersen, LLP in the external audit division.Ê Ms. Couch received both her undergraduate degree and Master of Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.Ê Ms. Couch is also a CPA.

Zach Sawtelle, Associate

Mr. Sawtelle joined The Compass Group in 2009. Prior to that, Mr. Sawtelle worked as a mergers and acquisitions investment banker at Citigroup Global Markets, focusing on transactions in the metals and mining industry. Previously, Mr. Sawtelle was with Genentech. Mr. Sawtelle received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from The University of California, Davis, summa cum laude.

Bridgette L. Clark-Johnson, Executive Assistant

Ms. Clark-Johnson joined The Compass Group in 2001 as an Executive Assistant. Prior to that, Ms. Clark-Johnson was with Tridex Corporation.

Jonlynn M. Vancho, Executive Assistant

Ms. Vancho joined The Compass Group in 2006 as an Executive Assistant. Prior to that, Ms. Vancho was with Cendant Mobility and Connecticut Health Enterprises.

Saramari Somerlot, Executive Assistant

Miss Somerlot joined The Compass Group in 2007 as an Executive Assistant. Prior to that, Miss Somerlot was with GlaxoSmithKline and attended Temple University in Philadelphia.
